Shredder's computer specialists have been helping residential customers and businesses find computer solutions since 2004.
As
computers became an integral part of everyday life, we began servicing
our own computers after several bad experiences with computer repair
companies.

During
one instance, we called one of the so-called 'expert' computer
companies to connect a simple track ball to a desktop PC that wouldn't
work. After 2 hours, the service tech could not figure out the problem,
but still charged us $230.00. This particular company is now out of
business.
During another instance... we called a different computer company to
assist with an Internet connection problem we were having on our
network. The tech on this particular call did not fix the problem but
charged us $198.00. We ended up fixing the problem with no outside
assistance.
We could not comprehend these companies charging such exorbitant rates
when the problems were not addressed and the customer was not satisfied.
We feel it's unfair and unethical to charge the same price when the
problem
is not resolved.
Those two incidents propelled us to handle our own computers and computer maintenance to save both time and money.
Over
the years, we heard more computer repair nightmares from family
members, customers and friends, and decided we should offer our computer
services to others at a reasonable rate. We began doing so in 2004 and
have saved hundreds of dollars for our customers.
In
the rare instance that we cannot fix the problem, we do not charge you.
If we can fix the problem, we will give you an estimate once the
problem has been diagnosed.
In
addition to new computer setup services, computer repairs and
maintenance, we sell refurbished computers and computer accessories on
our ebay
store. We are always looking for donations of old computers, monitors
and accessories. We refurbish them, sell those products on ebay, and donate a portion of the proceeds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
